The shift, the system and the five steps that turn LinkedIn from a time-sink into a client-getting engine. To shine on LinkedIn, you need a game plan from those who’ve already made it.
So we asked Jason Luboyera, the founder of 360 DigiSales, who has close to a decade’s experience growing businesses through LinkedIn, to show us how it’s done.
These five steps are the system he uses to turn LinkedIn into real business.
The move: run LinkedIn as a system, not a habit
Stop posting when you feel like it and hoping something sticks. Build the pieces in order (a profile that converts, content that gets read and shared, and outreach that reaches the people who matter) so each part feeds the next. That’s the difference between being busy on LinkedIn and getting business from it.
“People buy from people, not company pages. Put three to four times the effort into your personal profile.”
How to win clients on LinkedIn
1. Turn your profile into a sales landing page
Everything starts with your profile, because it’s the page every prospect lands on the moment you catch their attention. Treat it like a landing page, not a CV — a hero section that stops the scroll, an About that leads with the value you create, social proof, and an obvious way to get in touch. Get this right first, because every other step drives traffic to it.
2. Write posts people actually read
With the profile ready, start building an audience by posting content that survives the feed. People scan; they don’t read, so lead with a hook that earns the second line, write simply, and use white space so the post looks easy before a word is read. This is what gets you seen consistently.
3. Use copywriting formulas to make posts spread
Getting read is the floor; getting shared is what grows your reach beyond your own followers. Build posts on proven structures (Problem-Agitate-Solution, Before-After-Bridge) so a good idea carries a reader all the way to an ending worth reposting. This is how your audience compounds instead of plateauing.
4. Get noticed by prospects who won’t connect
Some of the people who could most change your business will never accept a cold connection request. You reach them another way: sharp, informed comments on their posts that get you onto their radar and often into a public back-and-forth. It’s how you build a relationship with the unreachable without a connection at all.
5. Cold-message the dream clients directly
With a profile that sells, content that’s built your credibility, and warm ground with the people you want to reach, the direct outreach finally lands. Do your homework, signal you’re busy too, and follow up by adding value rather than chasing — and the cold message reads as a peer reaching out, not a stranger begging. This is where the system turns into actual conversations.
